Grand Central Station combines the biggest
and busiest train/subway station in New
York. Travelers wade through a labyrinth
of underground walkways and waiting areas
before reaching their ultimate destinations.
In addition to clear directional signs the
renovation of the station incorporates a
spectacular floor mosaic compass and
graphic murals to help orient the transit
rider and create a singularly attractive
environment. Photographic wall murals
celebrating the significant architectural
near stairwells while a colorful mural of
architectural details welcome the riders
above the new escalator.
