An exhibition at the California Museum of Science and Industry for the XXIII Olympiad, Technology. The 24th Event, features the scientific advances in Microelectronics, Lightwave, Computers, Software and New Information services utilized at these games. A 15-projector audio-visual slide film unifies the themes of the exhibit by juxtaposing the history of the Olympics with the growth of worldwide communications.
The Microelectronics Zone explores the impact of digital structures on the present and the future. Dynamic random access memory chips and microprocessor chips are demonstrated.
Hardware and software are explored in the Computer and Software Zone. A visitor can experience Writers Workbench on computers and touch-screen terminals that offer a wide variety of interactive information to the visitor.
